Join us for Brickfront Indie, a series rooted in the sound, texture, and energy of Uptown Westerville.

Brickfront Indie is a nod to the historic brick storefronts that define Uptown—where music meets the street, sound carries through open doors, and live bands bring a little edge to a walkable, connected community. This lane is for plugged-in indie rock and genre-bending artists whose music is meant to be felt live—bold, expressive, and unapologetically real.

We’re kicking off Brickfront Indie with a band that fits the lane perfectly.

The Bittertones are an indie rock–meets–eclectic soul band formed in 2018 by singer-songwriter duo Carole Walker and Alan Mauger. Think grit, groove, and heart—where raw rock energy collides with soulful melodies and indie edge. Inspired by Alabama Shakes, Ani DiFranco, Eurythmics, Jeff Buckley, Deftones, and Sade, their sound is both fierce and intimate.

Known for electrifying live shows at festivals like ComFest and Hot Times, The Bittertones pull audiences into music that moves the body and stirs the soul. Emotion-driven, genre-bending, and unapologetically real, The Bittertones turn feeling into sound—and sound into connection.
